Power stations and Thermal power plants

Power stations and thermal power plants are among the most important and most demanding customers of KDMM. It is precisely in the operating conditions of these facilities that our products find their most frequent and most complex applications.

Energy facilities place extraordinarily high demands on expansion joints – high flue gas temperatures, aggressive chemical composition of media, abrasive ash particles, significant pressure and thermal shocks, as well as constant vibrations and movements in piping systems. KDMM fabric expansion joints are designed and manufactured specifically for these conditions, withstanding temperatures up to +1,200 °C and pressures up to 0.1 MPa.

Typical applications in power stations and thermal power plants:

  • Expansion joints at boiler outlets and in flue gas ducts
  • Fabric expansion joints in filtration and separation equipment (electrostatic precipitators, fabric filters)
  • Flexible connections in flue gas desulfurization systems (FGD)
  • Expansion joints in hot water and steam distribution systems
  • Vibration absorbers at turbines, pumps, and fans
  • LISEGA pipe hangers and supports in hot water and steam pipeline systems
